"Wait," you say to yourself, "how can Toupy be celebrating 10 years when Toupydoops #1 just came out in 2006?"
Well, dummy, we'll tell ya. Actually, it's a really funny story.
While that's true that Toupydoops #1 came out a little less than a year ago, Toupy's history goes back a lot farther than that. Toupydoops first appeared in late 1996 in the pages of the Oberlin Review - Oberlin College's student newspaper. For the next four years, Toupy's strip ran (mostly) every week, allowing Toupy to blossom into the handsome young man we know and love today, as well as earning creator Kevin McShane an honorable mention in the Charles M Schulz Best College Cartoonist Award in 1999.
Hmm. That's not a funny story at all. Sorry we said it was.
Anyway, in order to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Toupy's first appearance, we here at Lobrau Productions have a whole bunch of surprises planned for you all year long. (Actually, it's more like three surprises between now and June. But they're all still great!)
First up is Toupydoops #6. Scheduled for release in March, issue 6 marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in Toupy's ongoing adventures in life, love, and cartoon showbiz.
In this issue, loyalty between friends breaks down as Toupydoops and Teetereater try their luck with the ladies at a swanky Hollywood comic book premiere. Which roommate leaves with the beautiful comic starlet? The answer might surprise you. Find out who lucks out and who strikes out in "FLIGHT OF THE WINGMEN."
Featuring the comics debut of screenwriter C.J. Julian, Toupydoops #6 serves as a great jumping-on point for new readers. Preorders are now being taken at your local comics shop (click here to find the shop nearest you).

Everyone experiments in college. Including Toupy. Collecting all four years of the original Toupydoops comic strip, along with never-before-seen material and commentary by artist Kevin McShane, Toupydoops: The Early Years presents a hilarious look at Toupy's formative college days.

Finally, the one you've all been waiting for. Collecting the first five issues of Toupydoops and exclusive bonus material all under one sexy spine, The Collected Toupydoops. Vol. 1 officially destroys all of your excuses not to read one of the most critically acclaimed new series of 2006.
Check out free previews of all five issues: Issue 1, Issue 2, Issue 3, Issue 4, Issue 5.
So help us celebrate 10 years of Toupy by visiting your friendly neighborhood comic shop and preordering any of the items you see here. It's the best way we can think of to say "Happy Birthday" to a fictional character.
Have a rich and full-bodied day,-Your friends at Lobrau Productions
